Ann Lowrey Forster

Interim Head of School
Provost
Rhetoric & Ethics I & II

Mrs. Forster serves as the Provost for Saint Augustine School. She received a Bachelor’s of Arts in both Philosophy and Political Science from the Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi. Ann Lowrey has always been passionate about education. Before serving on the founding board of directors for Saint Augustine, she taught and tutored in various settings and homeschooled her own children. She teaches in the church, writes for Mockingbird Ministries and other organizations, and speaks when called upon. It is her great privilege to help explain the truth, so that others may live in its light.

Ann Lowrey and her husband, Paul, live in Jackson, where they are members of First Presbyterian Church. The Forsters’ four children are proud Gryphons and are the delight of their parents. In addition to her hobbies of writing and reading, Ann Lowrey loves a dinner party – the flowers, the soup course, the place settings – o what a foretaste of glory divine.

Dara Evans

Lower School Principal
Latin & Grammar 5

Mrs. Evans has been an educator for nearly 20 years. She received both a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College. Most of her teaching experience has been in the Madison County School District as a teacher, interventionist, and literacy specialist. The Evans clan joined Saint Augustine School in 2016, and each year they have grown in their love and appreciation for the education and discipleship their family has found.

Dara and her husband Mark live in Madison with their three children, and they are active members of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Most of all, she enjoys the ordinary days spent at home cooking, reading, and watching sports and movies with her family; but as a close second, she loves to travel and explore new places.

Auston Edwards

Upper School Principal
Government, Geography

Mr. Edwards attended Mississippi College where he graduated with a degree in Secondary Education with a Social Studies emphasis. He later earned his degree in Educational Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He currently teaches 10th and 11th grade history along with U.S. Government while serving as Upper School Principal.

He and his wife live in Jackson and have four children – Carson, Caleb, Marcus, and Lynnlee – who all attend Saint Augustine. He enjoys watching sports, reading, cooking, and traveling when time affords the opportunity.

Lauren Matheny

Mrs. Matheny began teaching at Saint Augustine in 2015. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Belhaven University, a Master of Education in Dyslexia Therapy from Mississippi College, and a Master of Studies in Classical Christian Studies from New Saint Andrew’s College.

She is married to Harrison and they have one daughter, Molly Jane. They attend First Presbyterian Church, where they enjoy being shaped by the exposition of the Word and the community of believers. When she is not engaging in Saint Augustine activities, she loves to enjoy the outdoors, live music, books, flowers, and fine dining.

Jessica McGehee

Dean of Families
Algebra I

Mrs. McGehee received both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education in Elementary Education from Mississippi College. Mrs. McGehee taught 4th grade at Madison Station Elementary for three years prior to staying home with her children and finding her way to Saint Augustine.

Jessica and her husband, Allen, live in Madison, MS with their four children all of whom spend their days at Saint Augustine while Jessica is teaching. The McGehees are members of Broadmoor Baptist Church where Jessica serves with the preschool ministry and Allen is involved with both the deacon ministry and prison ministry.

Meg Baylis

Dean of Students
Communications

Meg Baylis serves as the Dean of Students at Saint Augustine School. In this role she works to cast, implement, and sustain a mission-aligned vision for the school’s student-centered culture. Ms. Baylis is a recent graduate from Mississippi College, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication with an emphasis in Interpersonal and Public Communication, while minoring in Servant Leadership.

Meg’s passion for building relationships with students has led her to learn and serve in various places such as Impact 360 Institute, Lake Forest Ranch, and Fondren Church Jackson, where she is currently a member. Meg loves most things, but agrees that anything is better when done with friends, but especially a conversation over a good cup of coffee, a hike in the fall, or a fun dance party.
